October Stamp of the Month

 Welcome to the October

Close To My Heart

Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

We are featuring October's SOTM, which is Home For the Holidays, a set of 7 stamps which will be so much fun to use while creating scrapbook pages, cards, and tags for the Christmas holidays.

If you have come here from Judy Faye's blog, you are on the right path.  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and hop all the way around.  This is simple to do -- just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move on to the next one.  If you get lost along the way, you can check the master list on Melinda's blog to hop back in.

This month we have over 70 Close To My Heart consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and many other great CTMH products in their projects.  So grab your beverage of choice and get your pinning finger ready to save lots of great ideas for using this great stamp set.

For this layout I used this stamp set to random stamp for my background and texture paper.
You might notice a slight shine on the yellow candies on the right side.  I covered them with Liquid Glass to make it look like the cellophane wrappers on candy.

Here is a closer look at the random stamping.

Products used
Card stock:  Cranberry, Topiary and White Daisy
Inks: Cranberry, Topiary, and Canary
Accessories: Bling Gems Gold, Gold Shimmer Trim, and Liquid Glass
Merry Christmas was cut from gold glitter paper from the Brown and Tan Glitter Paper Pack using the CTMH Artbooking Cricut cartridge.

Please leave a comment to let me know you were here.
Now "hop" on over to Kami's Blog to see her work!

Be sure to visit all the consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!

Remember, the October SOTM is only available until October 31rst!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or contact me here) to see how you can get this stamp set for only $5!

National Stamping Month 30 Years of Happy

National Stamping Month Blog Hop

Close to my Heart is celebrating our 30 year anniversary with a super cute stamp set called 30 Years of Happy!  And the best part is that you can get this stamp set absolutely FREE with an order of $30 or more in stamps!  That’s right – absolutely free!  However, this offer is only good from September 1 – 30, so be sure to get yours before it’s gone!

If you are coming from Michelle's blog, you are on the right path.

I'm so glad you stopped by to see my work during this fun blog hop.
There are just so many creative ways to use these great little stamps: bookmarks, lunch notes, gift cards, random stamping and so many more.  So beside my ideas,  you will get wonderful inspiration for this stamp set from approximately 40 consultants as you "hop" around the loop.  All you need to do is click on the next consultant's name at the end of this post.  Don't forget to pin your favorites.

For this hop, I made some gift bags that could be filled with treats or several handmade cards.
Gift bags: Designer Creations Honey Paper Bags  Z2039 $3.95

In addition to cardstock, I used Baker's twine on this gift bag.
The dotted card stock was embossed using one of our embossing folders and then rubbed with chocolate ink.
Dot Embossing Folder Z1924 $8.95. The flower is from A Budding Friendship D1602 $17.95.
I created this card with entering it in last week's Color Dare Challenge in mind using Lagoon, Sorbet, and  Flaxen with random stamping.  I went on  a fabulous bus trip, however, and never got the card posted.

You might also recognize the word Love from the September Stamp of the Month, Family is Forever.

Thanks for stopping by.  Remember, you get this stamp FREE this month when you purchase $30 in stamps from Close To My Heart only during the month of September.  Contact your CTMH consultant, or me, to get yours.

Your next stop along the hop is Judy Faye Garner's blog.  If you get lost along the way, check Melinda's blog for a complete list so you can hop back in.

My workshop
Featuring: Pathfinding Paper Pack and Complements and optional use of the August and September Stamp of the Month Sets

Preorder paper pack and other supplies by September 13
Not in the area to attend this workshop?
You may order the kit and cutting directions.  Contact me here.

Normally, I prepare 3 double layouts.  This month, I still had one great designed paper left from the packet that I hadn't used, so of course, I had to create one more layout.
  • If you would like to do all 8 pages, I will have cutting directions for the entire kit.
  • If you would only want to do 6 pages, you may choose the pages you want to do, and I will figure out the extra card stock (and price) you would need for only those sheets.

What A Hoot Layout - uses the August Stamp of the month.  You could use some of the Pathfinding complements or other Cricut die cuts if you don't care to stamp.  Base papers are Champagne.

Give Thanks Layout - Base pages are Chocolate Cardstock.  All images are from the Pathfinding Complements pack.  This layout was inspired by one found on Jeanette Lynton's blog.

Family is Forever Layout - This layout uses the September Stamp of the Month, Family is Forever.  The base sheets are

Autumn Layout - This layout uses a combination of Complements and Cricut die cuts.  The base sheets are Chocolate CS.

Hope to have you join in my workshop.  Thanks for looking today.
