Scrapbook Workshop

]

Documented Scrapbook Layouts

Just loved working with this paper pack, the matching complements, titles, and dots.  This paper pack will be retiring tomorrow, August 31, so order right away if it appeals to you the way it did to me.

Need to give a shout out of thanks to sister consultant, Brenda Rose, for the inspiration for this layout.
I really liked her layout and used many of her ideas on mine.
Using the Documented complements, titles,  and dots for this set of layouts really added a lot.

The frame around the Open New Doors is the scrap left over after pulling off the sticker Live your story. I trimmed around the edges and put it on the eggplant CS before stamping the phrase.

Love the idea of finding the right photos to put behind the windows in this layout.

Just thinking about how looking at disappointments or other sad  good byes in life may open to new possibilities.  Many different ideas came to mind as I worked with the paper with the doors and windows.  To be honest, when I first saw that paper, I couldn't imagine how to use it.  Once I got going, more and more ideas popped into my mind.

The words Beautiful and Memories were cut out of the packaging for the
complements for this paper suite.  The floral panels used in the corners are the

Picture My Life Cards from this paper pack.

Special Kit - You've Got Class

You've Got Class

But Wait! - This kit doesn't just have to be about kids and school!

Here's a fantastic and simple way to organize all those certificates, writing samples, and other things too cute to part with from the kids' school years.
But what if we brainstorm outside of the box -- what else could we organize and and document using this cool kit?

How about those trips that span different places that have memorabilia that could be organized in the folders and have pictures on the outside pages of the folders?

How about documenting that house you're building or a remodeling project?   Keep receipts and other important papers inside the folders and scrap those in-progress or before and after photos on the outside.

What a great way to document anything that will change over time!  How about a yearly garden scrapbook?  Pictures on the outside, receipts, notes about planting, what you learned that year, notes for planning for the following year on the inside.

Help me brainstorm!  What else could we use this great kit to document progress over time?  Place your thoughts in the comments below.

In the meantime, check out the video to see what's included in this wonderful kit.
Remember too that the components of the kit are available individually as well.

Here's to You CTMH blog hop

Here's to You

Welcome to our special blog hop featuring the four stamps that are a part of the

The four stamps are included in the workshop, or can be purchased separately.

A blog hop is just one big loop of fun, creative ideas. If you are coming from Haley's blog  you're on the right path. If you are starting here, just look for the link to Krista's blog at the end of my post. Each blog you visit will feature a link to continue following the hop. If you get disconnected somewhere along the way, you can find a complete list of blog hop participants here.

A friend that I scrap and make cards with challenged several people in our crop group to a monthly  card making challenge.  She sends 4 card patterns at the beginning of the month and asks us to join in and see the variety of cards we can create with the patterns she chooses by the end of the month.

Well, I decided to use her challenge to go with this blog hop.  Some of the patterns were out of my usual card design comfort zone. I paired up the stamps from this promotion with the Central Park paper pack and some coordinating cardstock.  I also used the Central Park sequins.

These are the cards I came up with.

Here's a closer look at each of the cards.

On this card, the sentiment wouldn't fit on the piece from the design,
so I decided to put the sentiment on vellum.  I really liked how it worked out.
I used Archival Ink to stamp on the vellum.  I attached the vellum
using dots of liquid glue under the larger printed words.

I loved the sunshine pattern on this paper from the from the Central Park
paper pack to go with this sentiment.  The little dots in the design
were made using ShinHan markers.  The faux stitching was done
with a fine line gel pen.

The pattern for this card was a particular challenge to me as there were to be
3 pieces spaced along the bar.  I have them a little closer together
than they were on the pattern I was given.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's one more card that I made that uses an old go-to pattern
I like to use for cards. This one was not part of the challenge
from my friend.

Thanks for stopping by today. You can contact your CTMH consultant or find the Here's To You Scrapbooking and Card making here

Krista  has in store for us on her blog.
