September Stamp of the Month

Welcome to the

Close To My Heart

September Stamp of the Month

Blog Hop

We will be featuring September's SOTM, which is Family is Forever, a set of 7 stamps.

If you have come here from Sarah's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!

This month we have 80 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog:  click here

Here we go!
Using this stamp set with the Pathfinding Papers and the new ShinHan Touch Twin markers, I created this two page layout as a part of my September workshop.

Products used: Pathfinding Paper kit, Pathfinding Complements, Shin Han Touch Twin Markers.

Here are a few close-up shots showing some of the stamp details where I used the new CTMH markers. First I stamped with Chocolate ink, then embellished with markers to pick up colors from the Pathfinding papers.

Now "hop" on over to Jacquelin's Blog to see her work!

Be sure to visit all the consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!

Remember, the September SOTM is only available until September 30th!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or contact me here) to see how you can get this stamp set for only $5!

Card workshop

All Occasion Card Workshop

Monday, August 25 - 2:00
Tuesday, August 26 - 6:30
My workshop

  • Come and make as many of the cards as you like for $1.50 each.
  • Cards are pre-cut, ready to stamp and assemble
  • Please bring your own adhesive.
  • Change sentiments to suit your needs.
  •  I've had requests for cards for kids, so several designs lean that way this month.

  • I still have a few more cards to design, but I wanted to share what I have ready so far.  I will have a few more to choose from in case you don't need any cards for children.

One card, not with child content, includes fuzzy clouds and shimmery water.

Who doesn't need a belated birthday card on hand?  Oh, I know, you're all more organized than I am, and you always get your cards on time, right?

Numbers can be changed on this child's birthday card.  I got the idea for this card from Creations by Char.  Thanks, Char.  Other colors can be used to create a card that might not be quite so feminine looking.  You'll have a chance to use the new CTMH ShinHan Touch Twin markers on this card.  I'm really loving these new markers.

Here's another stamp set that's been waiting in the drawer for a chance to be played with.  Another card that might appeal to a child.

This cutie owl is from the August Stamp of the Month.  Here's that perfect thank you card to send when you want to let someone what a fun time you had with them.  We can always be creative and come up with other sayings to suit your needs.

I'm thinking this card might work for an older child or maybe even a guy.

Hope you'll join me for one of the two workshops.
Please let me know if you plan to come by Saturday, August 23.

New Product Blog Hop

Welcome to CTMH Blog Hop

featuring new product from

Annual Inspirations 2014 - 2015

Everyone is excited about and busy creating and sharing new products from our new idea book, Annual Inspirations,  just released August 1.

Over 50 talented CTMH consultants have prepared fantastic cards, layouts, and other projects to get your creative juices flowing.

If you hopped here from Katy Taylor's blog you are on the right path.

To join in the blog hop, just look for the link at the end of each blog entry, and click to go on.  If you get lost along the way, visit the list on Melinda's blog and get back on board the hop.

My project features our new Designed Decor Red Magnetic Chalkboard (Z2006) and paper from the Snowhaven Paper Packet (x7188B) and Snowhaven Complements (X7188C)

The larger medallions were made using the Artiste Cartridge.  The embellishments are from the Ruby Mini-Medley Accents Collection (Z1861).

The chalkboard can be hung either horizontally as above, or vertically as pictured below.

Here's a little closer shot showing  the medallions.

I plan to use this in my kitchen as a memo board, but right now it is set to
go for my CTMH Open House.  I added magnetic tape to the backs of the
mini-clothespins and some of the Snowhaven complements.
